Can I put bigger injectors in 1987 CRX without ECU tune
Hi, bought an 1987 CRX Si, 12valve SOCH with bad injectors and rusted fuel pump.
I got a new pump and cleaned tank+ junkyard injectors now it starts up no prob.
It looks like stock Injector is 180cc
Went to junkyard and got some from 1988 Prelude, I think it should be 235cc, It was a Direct fit,
Will I gain any slight performance increase with the higher rated injectors? Or do I need an ECU/Tune?(its OBD0)
Thanks!

No. Don't bother changing fuel injectors unless you can tune the ECU for the size change. Besides, more fuel doesn't help any if you aren't increasing air flow to the engine at the same time. Fuel doesn't make HP by itself... it needs an oxygen molecule to burn with it to make power.
Yeah, I put an aftermarket intake, and replaced the injectors with the Prelude.
The OEM was clogged, so i NEEDED to switch,
So now it has more airflow, and fuel.
Do i still need a ECU tune for those to add 5+hp or so?
Or can the upgraded parts increase HP on their own?
And if not, will the CRX run at least as good as before?
Thanks again, for your help friend.
