I'm in the process of swapping a GSR engine in my EM1. I'll like to know if the starter from my EM1 will work with the GSR. I've also purchased an Exedy lightweight flywheel and stage 1 clutch.

I've read posts stating that all manual starters are interchangeable, but none specifically using an EM1 starter with a GSR. I question its compatibility as part numbers for the starter are different. And wonder if the aftermarket flywheel will make a difference as well. Thanks for your help.

 

The starter will work just fine on a GSR. The flywheel should work just fine as well.
