Default Off the shelf Wiseco B18c 8.5:1

Ive searched before but cant find anything recent about what sort of power people are using off the self wiseco pistons are good for in a b18c turbo and at what point the pins should be upgraded.

Wiseco are the favoured brand because they do a 8.5:1 only thing putting me off them is I have read of some failures 9.0:1 CPs are another option I was looking at.

If anyone has comparable dyno data from similar b18c set ups with different compression ratios it would be cool to see it.

Will be running uk pump fuel with no water meth im happy to lose some off boost performance to make it safer on boost, although im not sure the effect will be as drastic as people make it out to be.

look forward to hearing some input

I personally would keep the compression close to OEM specs. 9.5.1 to 10.1

Me too. Both CP and Wiseco make forged pistons, but there may be a difference in the material used depending on which set of Wiseco pistons you choose... and this material choice will dictate how much power the piston can handle. Upgraded wrist pins are a good idea above 500 whp.
