Redshift or FEEL coilovers?
I was pretty much set that I was gonna get the Redshift BC based coilover kit. Until, my buddy, that worked at a suspension shop for years said that they were not good due to the length of the shock bodies being wrong. When pressed about what coilovers to get with my limited budget, He recommended FEEL brand. Which look pretty good, just don't know anyone that has used them before. Anybody run either of these before? I'm trying to stay in the $1500 range. 1990 crx si w/turbo b18a. 2050lbs. Time trial/attack mostly. Occasional street driving, 200tw max performance summer tires.
redshift is big on autoxing their cars... i would assume they would have made adjustments to the BC coil overs to make them right. that being said, they are pretty good with customer service, so i would contact them. another option would be Fortune Auto... they are up and coming and do custom builds/rebuilds.
CRXs dont need crazy spring rates (i think)... so you might find that an off the shelf koni/gc setup might do the trick.

My only real concern is servicing the Feels. you'll want to service your stuff semi regularly if you are tracking regularly. the RedShift/BC or a Fortune Auto would be better for service.
I understand the desire overall... but there are plenty of folks that are successful on the Koni/GC (to include me... though I was looking at Penskes and the Konis race double adjustables i run were a heck of a deal)... it was just a suggestion.

For what it's worth, I run Fortuna Auto Mullers with Swift Springs on my BMW e46 M3 and have been very happy with them - their valving for the spring rates I ordered are on point and the ride is very good. I'm very impressed with their digressive pistons - they handle large sharp inputs very well but the car is flat as a pancake around corners. It's pretty cool with a few turns they go from street-friendly to track-friendly. They're also really good about upgrades - you can always send them back and they'll revalve, upgrade, whatever you need. And their customer support is fantastic.
On my Civic I run custom valved/shortened Bilstein mono-tube dampers with GC sleeves and Eibach ERS springs and also have been very happy with them. They're not nearly as flexible as the FAs since they're valved specifically for the track and are non-adjustable but they definitely get the job done. I think for a track day weapon GC sleeves with your choice of high-quality dampers are extremely hard to beat for the money. Also its easy to upgrade later by swapping out the dampers to a set of MCS/Penskes/Koni Race etc - and Eibach ERS springs are dirt cheap.

Crazy, I'm in the same boat. Looking at Redshift Single Adjustables with swift springs or Special purpose honda race valved ground control setup fully spec'd. Both are about 2k.
