I bought a 97 Honda Civic dx recently and it turn on in neutral and it doesn’t park I have replaced the transmission cable adjusted it and it still doesn’t park any suggestions???

 

Did you follow the service manual procedure for the cable adjustment?

Can you verify your brake lights go on. When you press the brake pedal, you might hear a faint "click" as a solenoid engages to put it into and out of park.
