Car won't crank with key, but cranks with remote start fob
Hi guys
I'm in the process of installing a command start in a 2003 Acura CL. Viper 4816V
I am able to press the remote start button which cranks the car.
I am not able to start my car normally with the key. I can safely assume there is an issue with the ignition wiring harness.
I used the wiring diagram found on the12volt here: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay....asp?tid=29894
I found the honda shop manual here with a wiring diagram for ignition harness: https://cardiagn.com/body-electrical-99-03-tl/
They seem to contradict each other.
This is my current wiring (brackets denote chassis harness):
1 RED/BLACK (+) FUSED 12V ACCESSORY/STARTER INPUT 12v constant (WHITE)
2 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT #87a key side (if required) of FLEX RELAY cut starter wire, connected to key side (BLACK/WHITE)
3 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2/FLEX RELAY OUTPUT #30 of FLEX RELAY Tie in to Ignition 2 (WHITE/BLACK)
4 RED (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 1 INPUT 12v constant (WHITE)
5 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT Fusebox side starter wire (BLACK/WHITE)
6 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT Tie in to accessory power
7 RED/WHITE (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT #87 12v constant (WHITE)
8 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT Tie in to ignition power (BLACK/YELLOW)
But according to the shop manual it should be:
1 RED/BLK to WHITE
2 PINK/BLK to key side BLK/WHT
3 PINK/WHT to YELLOW
4 RED to WHITE
5 VIOLET to car side BLK/WHT
6 ORANGE to WHT/BLK
7 RED/WHT to WHITE
8 PINK to BLK/YEL
Is YELLOW typically Ignition 2? I'm going to verify all these wires with a multimeter, but I figured I should ask here anyways.

I was able to sort this out, but now I'm having trouble finding the OEM alarm disarm wire.
Some sources say it is the blue wire in the security module under the passenger seat. If I ground that wire, the alarm doesn't disarm.
Some also say you need to hook it up to the driver's door cylinder. I worry that, in doing that, it will unlock the car too. My RS only has a single button FOB, so this is not ideal.
Anyone have any experience with this?
