Default Motor compatibility

I have one 1991 civic ex w/Ac and PS, and one 1989 crx dx. The ex has a d15b8 block and pm9-3 head. The crx has a d15b7 block and pm9-8 head. The ex motor has lost the oil rings and I cannot sell it. My friend said he did this back in like 95 he took the ppg block/head combo and put the mpfi system on it. I want to know if this is possible or am I going to run into some block sensor connection issue? I don't have a lot of time and I need it sold asap.
all help is appreciated, thanks.

Did you try searching d15b7 MPFI conversion?
