Default EG Wiper Motor Repair? Wipers Don't Return

My wipers don't always return to the "Home" or park position.

My guess is something in the transmission is bad.

Honda lists my wiper motor as NLA.

Has anyone taken theirs apart to fix?

Thanks!

Ive taken apart a sol wiper linkage willing to bet its pretty much the same. There isnt a transmission perse just a motor that spins with linkage arms on plastic socket joints. Going to guess the plastic joints are worn out, could try pumping them full of heavy grease to eliminate some play? Mark where your wipers sit on the windshield and pull the cowl, put wipers back on where they where and run it without the cowl so you can see exactly where the play is. A spray bottle of water for the windshield wouldn't be a bad idea to keep them from hopping.

::edit:: there are some examples of what the linkage looks like in the monowiper diy in my signature. From the diagrams on majestic the linkage looks very similar.

Do the tests in the diagram, especially #6 and #7 using an analog multimeter. What are the results?
