Default How to know window regulator's gear teeth are in correct position before placing in..

Unfortunately while changing the power window motor on the driver side, it seems I may have moved the teeth position, before placing the regulator back in car, to make sure the new motor worked.

When I press the switch to move the window all the way up, there's noticeable shaking and thud sound. This does not occur on the opposite side. The opposite side's motor was replaced a year ago and still works fine, except maybe having to put more silicone lubricant on the channel.

Now, a few months after replacing the power window motor, the window refuses to go all the way up, and I hear a loud sound coming from inside the door panel.

I will pull out the regulator and do a visual inspection. I just wanted to know before likely having to get new one, how to make sure the gear are where they're supposed be; e.g. how many teeth should be to the left of the 'mating point'.

Edit:
It seems it doesn't matter. Important thing is to make sure the regulator isn't set to a too high position, assuming your window is held up with masking tape, 4 inches from the very top of the door frame.

I'll try to attach a picture later on showing, the recommended position of the motor in relation to the regulator.
2nd picture shows worn out teeth on the regulator.
