Hello. I have just replaced my vtec spool valve and hopefully that will stop the jerking. I want to hang onto the old one so question is can you take the valve apart, the solenoid etc and clean and refurbish it? If so, how? Thanks

 

Hello all. Not having much luck here. I replaced the 2005 crv vtec solenoid but I want to keep the old one as a spare. I removed the pressure switch and the solenoid top but I can't figure out how to get the valve out, it seem to be stuck inside the the body. Plenty of utube videos about how to remove and replace it from the engine but nothing on dismantling and testing it
