Default Knock Sensor Code Wont Go Away

Hi all, I have a 2000 Civic Ex with 210k on it, I made the dumb mistake about last year of power washing the engine and breaking the Knock sensor. I replaced the sensor with a ebay/amazon special the first time. That did not work, light came on after I hit about 3k RPM's no matter how many times I cleared the code. Ended up changing the knock sensor with a Beck and Arnley knock sensor which made the light of stay off for a couple of days but came back on. I decided to do a continuity test on the wire harness by unplugging the Knock sensor connector and the wire harness end from the ECU. I had continuity. I decided to try another ECU from the junk yard which i got cheap and that didn't solve the issue. What should I do?

You checked KS wire for continuity. Now check it for a short to ground.

Post pics of your KS installation.

Get an OE Knock sensor... aftermarket ones suck. A used one that isn't broken is better than a brand new Beck Arnley one.

You went to the junk yard and pulled an ECU instead of a knock sensor?

I went through all that when I broke my knock sensor. ^What JRCivic1 said. It's not that the aftermarket ones don't work; they do. It's that Honda ECUs are extremely finicky about the knock sensor signal. It sounds stupid but it HAS TO BE a Honda part.
