Default Oil filter oil leak

I have a 1995 Honda Accord ex vtec 2.2. When I changed the oil and replaced the oil filter I noticed that there was a oil leak escaping oil between the black gasket and aluminum mate at the bottom of the filter 6:00 position. I tried to both tighten and loosen the filter but still leaked. I have found no information on this point so I need help as to the cause. Even tried a second oil filter with same result. Could it be the holder and if so how is this removed?

With filter off, is there an O ring left behind on the pad? are you stacking rubber O on rubber O?

I’m assuming with the filter off is there anything left on “pad”. If you mean the aluminum mating service the answer is no and the gasket is still attached to filter when removed

Is the pad flat?

COuld it be the wrong oil filter? I think I have had this happen once on this car at the local parts store. It's like it fit, but did a similar thing. Although you have said you used a different filter so that does seem unlikely.

From the photo, nothing looks unusual.

Check that the oil filter feed pipe (the middle pipe with threads) isn't loose.

Lube the gasket on the oil filter and then tighten by hand. If you didn't lube the oil filter gasket before, it can cause issues

It’s certainly not loose and yes I did lube the gasket before twisting it on
