Hi y'all, I have made a mistake and am trying to find a remedy! My 04 cr-v with the k24a1 motor and 370k miles finally quit. I ordered a honda k24a 2.4l jdm motor from jdm Orlando, when I received it I realized that the motor was from an accord and has a completely different head on it with an egr valve etc. That won't work with the cr-v set up. My question is, if I could swap a #ppa head to replace the #raa head on the jdm motor or not. My understanding is that the block is the same (by visual inspection) but I've read online that some heads will interchange but that some models of the k24a will interfere with the valves since there is a slight variation in piston stroke in some models of these engines. At this point I'm out $800 and it will cost another $250 to ship back and another $250 + engine cost difference to ship the cr-v motor so I'm trying to figure if a reman head would be a better option.
