I bought an in inexpensive (cheap) head of eBay for my Honda Pilot... I know I shouldn’t have gone cheap but what’s done is done.
I disassembled it to inspect it and upon reassembly noticed I was missing one of the hollow dowels (roll pin) for the rocker shaft.. the intake dowel to be exact which I believe feeds the oil to activate VTEC. No big deal they’re a couple dollars from Honda.. then I noticed the exhaust dowel hole is not machined through to allow oil passage. I’m not sure and haven’t been able to find this discussed but I’m assuming oil should flow through this dowel to lubricate the exhaust rockers. Can anyone confirm.
