Got back from a drive and it started chugging at the traffic light , you could give it gas and it would idle at that high rpm and drive . I shut it off and went in the house to look at it in the morning . Any ideas of what it could be or what to look at ? Thanks .

 

Have the CEL on with a stored code? What is the code?

 

Had multiple mis fires , compression test showed blown gasket or some other problem , 100 lbs. +/- 20 on all cylinders , thanks for reply .. Still runs , tell me that ain't a great motor .

 

When this was happening to mine, I checked the spark plugs and 3 of them were full of oil. Replaced the head cover, changed the spark plugs to some new OEM ones and it was back to running good.
