Default Resurrected 97 Del Sol fuel level sensor

So, I brought back to life a 97 Del Sol what was given to me for free. Just had to move it off property. Old lady driven and had been sitting since 2010 from the tag. Replaced fuel filter and pump and she fired right up. Everything worked besides the fuel gauge. Took out the level sensor or "fuel gauge sending unit" and it was rusted beyond repair. Took out the tank and washed it up.

I searched though the interchangeable parts sticky and I didn't see a mention of this part. Checked online and the salvage yards. No del sol, but a crap ton of every Civic. I was wondering if the fuel gauge level sensor, the floaty sensor thing in the tank, is interchangeable between del sol to del sol or 97 Civic/accord to 97 Del sol. If I have to Frankenstein one together ok, but I'd rather not.

You can compare part numbers a Honda parts site like hondapartsnow.com to find a replacement. I don't know the answer off the top of my head.

I ended up finding a Civic/Accord float sensor and replaced everything on it. The top part that sits on top of the sank, from the civic/accord, was smaller then the Del Sol so that wouldn't fit. I noticed the circuit board, basically a potentiometer, was 99% the same as the one as the Del Sol, but with a different PCB version number. So I took it and the plastic housing and put it on the old Del Sol. Didn't exactly fit. The Del Sol was incased in a metal case and it wouldn't fit. Flipped it 180 degrees to the backside and bolted it in. Resoldered the wires and it worked. Before I did all of that I got my ACtoDC converter, I use it for silver-plating, and put a iron nail on one end and the metal sensor chassis on the other. Got all of the rust off. Also put the small low gas light cylinder on it. Im assuming it's for low gas light, but idk. I just put it on in about the same place as the old rusted out one and wired it up.

Long story short, I rigged it up and it's reading 3/5th tank now. I plugged it in and pushed the floaty up and the gauge went up slowly and vis versa. Not 100% sure if its accurate, but it works and it cost me $10 and an hour.

I don't know if the part was from a civic or an accord. Friend had it laying around from his collection of either his civic or accord. I gave him 10 bucks because fair is fair.
