Default Transmission, Clutch, or Gear Issues ; Help Wanted !

1994 del Sol VTEC, B18B1 swap

So I acquired a del Sol shell on the cheap and have been doing a lot to get it running. Currently the only standstill I’m at is what I believe is a clutch issue.

With the car off, all six gear positions can be selected via the shifter with no issue. Full engagement, no crazy stuff. But as soon as the car is firing, with the clutch in, it will not go into gear whatsoever.

Originally I believed this was a Slave Cylinder issue, so I replaced it, and replaced it again, to no avail. Afterwards I went for a Clutch Master Cylinder. Not only did this not do anything to help my case, but it was basically just wasted time. Checked shift linkage, no problem. Shift fork, no issues, looked to be moving plenty.

Could it be that the wrong clutch was sent to me ? Bought a new clutch kit including clutch disc, flywheel and pressure plate, along with pilot and throw out bearings respectively. I still have yet to pull the trans back off, but I’m highly suspecting it could be a D Series clutch kit.

If anyone has had this kind of issue before, as much help and knowledge that you can offer would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, ShowTime

Is the clutch pedal spongy? If not, have you adjusted the clutch pedal height as per service manual instructions?
