So my Check engine light doesn't come on when I put the key to the 2nd position. It also does not come on when I jump the connector with a paperclip. It does however still come on when I'm driving.
A few days ago it still worked like it should. I had a code 43 which I suspect to be a faulty O2 sensor. Havent fixed it yet and the light still comes on but can't read the code now because the CEL isn't working like it should.
What could the problem be other than a faulty ECU?
By the way it is a D16z6 swapped Honda Logo so OBD1 D16 into OBD2b Logo with rywire harness.
Re: MIL/CEL doesn't work when key is in position II
Alright I fixed it:D
Figured it was a broken wire somewhere between the ECU and the the tachometachometer unit. Because I grounded the green/orange wire coming from the ECU and the light didn't turn on.
Turns out it was just a lose connection on the tachometer.
Car has PU insert engine mounts so it probably shaked itself out just enough to give some trouble.
It also has the clutch reservoir in a very weird place because the Logo comes with a cable transmission from the factory but the previous owner modded a p20-b000 hydraulic transmission into it.
So the dash has been out before and maybe he didn't put the plug back on well enough.
