new caliper/rotor/pads slight dragging
Hello, I replaced my front disc brakes and calipers and rear drum brakes recently. I seem to find the front right wheel having quite a bit of heat ( and some smoke ) due to the pads dragging.
I compared with my front left wheel and front left wheel is totally fine. I am not entirely sure what might be the cause of this issue. I have tried swapping rotors from front left to right side along with the pads but this still happens. I tried replacing my calipers guide pins with old pins and it did not seem to have made much difference. The calipers are brand new. When I step on the brakes and have someone check, the pistons are retracting fine but the front right side definitely have a bit more of brake pad drag compared to the left side when you rotate it by hand.
Does anyone have any idea what else I can try? Is there such thing as bad brand new calipers which is not the pistons being defective and the caliper casing itself? Taking off the front right caliper and installing it back on rotors didn't seem to make much difference either. I'm just trying to see if there is any possibility of a bad caliper which is not piston related.
