Finally decided to learn how to do some of my own car maintenance, and I’m super worried about messing it up. I have the front end of my 1992 Civic VX jacked ups with the front middle jack point. Now do I place jack stands under the side jack points behind the wheels? Is there a better or different spot for this? My jack stands can go up to 24” and I really want to get the car as high off the ground as I can. Using the front center jack point I was barely able to get my jack stands under the side points at their lowest height setting. Where else under the car can I place a jack to get additional height and raise my jack stands? This will be especially important for me over the next year as I plan on totally stripping down and rebuilding my other Civic VX and it will be on jack stands for probably a year or more. This picture shows where I’ve got the stands currently placed. Where else can they go, or can I place the jack to further raise the car?
