Icon5 2009 Accord TPMS Light

Hi All

My TPMS light went on .. so I figured it was a bad sensor.. Went to tire shop and found 2 sensors with low batteries.. They replaced it and reprogrammed it but the light still remains on.. They asked me to drive it for a day to see it goes off.. Any advise or suggestions if this is normal ?

There is usually either a button that re-syncs the sensors & current tire pressure and if not there may be a Honda dealer-only scan tool that is used to re-calibrate and sync the new sensors to the TPMS control unit. Aside from the tires actually having low tire pressure, I'd check the owners manual for a pressure reset calibration method. It does usually take a few miles of driving for the sensors to become active also, so your shop was right on that advise.

Sal, I have a 2011 Accord and my TPMS light is on now (just purchased the car three weeks ago). I wanted to hear from you if you were able to fix this problem? I'm wondering if I can just buy the four sensors off eBay or Amazon and have them installed when I have new tires put on the car.
