Default Sand and polish new paint

So, its been a lot longer than i thought it would take to getting to the cutting and polishing of my new paint job. Its been a little over a month now since i finished the work, i'm finally just now acquiring all of stuff i need to do the polishing work. Here is my question. I got meguiars 105 and 205, i plan on using the 105 with a wool pad and the 205 with a foam compound pad. I also have a foam finishing pad, should i skip the compound pad and use the finishing pad for the 205? OR, is there something else i should follow up the 205 with on the finishing pad? Since its been over a month, i do plan on putting some sort of wax protectant on it at this point.
