Default Rear brake pads

Hello everyone. I have a 2012 Accord 4 cylinder. I was trying to change my rear brake pads my self. After replacing the old ones with the new pads and completing everything I realized that I had left the 2 caliper bracket washers that go with the 17 mm bolt out. Now I have been told to put them back in. My only question is do I have to open the 12mm bolts as well and then the 17mm to put the washers back or can I just unscrew the big 17 mm bolts and just slide in the washers in. I’m just trying to avoid opening the 12mm bolts coz then the brakes will have to be adjusted again.

Which of the bolts below are you referring to? Is it #18 that I circled?

I don't know of any 17mm rear brake bolts that use washers, especially that are removable, typically if there is a washer it is permanently attached to the bolt. If your talking about the 17mm bolts that secure the caliper bracket to the knuckle/carrier then you should just be able to remove the bolts completely, install the washers and re-install the bolts. The bolts just secure the caliper bracket to the knuckle/carrier, there is no adjustment of the rear brakes to be concerned about.
