I recently purchased a 2000 crv lx, definitely not stock. But I don’t think it ever had an aftermarket security system. I purchased two different key fobs and my car would still not go into programming mode. I replaced the keyless entry module and it still won’t go into programming mode. And i know it was working because the crv I took it out of, had no issues with it. The locks on all the doors work. And tje dome light goes on and off when doors are open/closed. Only thing I’ve noticed is that I am able to take out my key from the ignition cylinder when it is on (l) and (ll) is that normal? Could that be the issue? Also the ring that glows around my ignition cylinder doesn’t glow.

 

does it still have the factory radio?
i know the 96-00 civic oe keyless was built into the factory headunit.
