Default Engine swap

Hello everyone I need some help I have an 01 civic lx 5 speed the d17 that was in it threw a rod while back I have a 95 civic dx d15 (smashed front end) just sitting outback and for no other reason than to keep from going crazy during quarantine I swapped the d15 in place of my grenaded d17 for sh*ts and giggles I'm going to run the 95 civic engine, engine harness and ecu in my 01 civic chassis everything is done accept for wiring the chassis to the ecu im not paying for a step down harness when I'm equipped and able to solder it up myself I just need to know which wires go where? Short story is obd2a chassis to obd1 ecu and harness without a conversion jumper thanks in advance

First off, how did this even work? You replaced a D17A1 with a D15b7? The shift linkage, engine mounts, axles and stuff all line up? AC lines? Is this a prank? Why? Did you lose a bet?

I'm sorry if that came off as assholeish but there's too much work for too little gain here. I get the idea for using what's on hand, but I don't think this has been done before because the newer engines are better in most cases and are a dime a dozen. Some locales also won't let you swap an older engine into a newer car for inspection/emissions purposes.

Theoretically you'll need to compare the pinouts on the 95 Civic's engine harness versus the harness on your new one. Honestly it might be better to just use the older harness since you're going to use the older ECU regardless to run the engine (which you have decided). OBD1 versus OBD 2 is another huge consideration. You'll also need to figure out a way to defeat the immobilizer. Maybe leave the original ECU plugged in since it's a mated pair with the ignition switch? Honestly for all the time and energy swapping in a lower output outdated engine you could have just grabbed a D17A, harness, and ecu from an importer and added VTEC for more power.

My honest recommendation would be to junk or part out the wrecked car, pull the mismatched engine and sell it, then buy a D17A or D17A2 to drop in. Or even just sell it all and move into a fully working 7th or 8th gen Civic. It will work as-is but the VTEC harness will give you some additional power. Do what you will, but you're spraying the sun with a dollar store squirt gun that nobody has figured out how to spray.

I completely understand the disadvantages of the swap I'm working on with that being said I started this project to keep myself from going crazy bc of social distancing and quarantine just something to do really to pass the time, and I havent spent a penny on it the d15 is a reliable powerplant this one had 130,000 miles on it and was remarkably clean and well maintained it's still going to drive A to B I'm not concerned with the power loss I'll drive this car on my 25 mile commute to work and grin when I stop at a gas station and dont have to fill up

The d15b7 and d17a1 blocks are very similar till you start tearing them down I only had to modify the driver side motor mount slightly I did an a/c delete bc neither system worked no big deal to me the d17 clutch assembly swapped to the d15 no problem the brackets for power steering and alternator were a combination from both engines easy enough with no ac in the way. Everything was fairly easy till it came to wiring I used the 95 d15 engine, harness and ecu wired into to the 01 chassis the car will crank the plugs fire in sequence the only problem is the injectors will not fire one side of the pgm-fi relay is not working and it's the injector side of pgm-fi the fuel pump side is working as it should any help with this matter is appreciated this is my first go round wiring a honda ecu from scratch it is a p06 ecu that I did the manual trans conversion on thanks in advance
