Default Del Sol distributor. Whats second best to an OEM?

A couple years back my original del sol distributor quit at 150,000 miles. I was a hurry to get the car back up and going and all we have around my town is an Auto Zone. I put a auto zone distributor on and it ran great for about 20,000 miles and it quit. I am now on my second auto zone distributor with about 10,000 miles. I am starting to think I could have issues with this distributor about anytime. I wanted to get an OEM but after looking at hondapartsnow.com they appear to be discontinued. What is second best to an OEM distributor? Or are they available as new old stock from any where? I am tempted to just carry a spare autozone distributor in my trunk. It is easy enough to change on the side of the road if I ever did get stranded. Thanks

focus on replacing cap/rotor/coil/icm.
currently running cap and rotor from yec(ebay). coil by tec(amazon or stealership),icm from rockauto.
the rest is original with 388k miles.

What year Del Sol? My recommendation would be to purchase a good condition used Honda distributor and then clean and rebuild it (new oil seal, O-ring, bearing, coil, ICM/igniter).

Its a 95 si. That’s not a bad idea. I never thought about that. What all is inside that burns out and leaves you with no spark? Just the coil and icm?

The items that I previously mentioned are the most common issues.

For the three distributor sensors, test them for an open, short to ground, or out of spec Ohm readings. Return distributor if the latter testing reveals issues.

Also inspect all distributor wires. Return distributor or repair if bad wires are found.
