Valve adjustment
Here I'm having a hard to get my valve adjustment right. I have a D17A2 civic ex American made. My valve lash specs are Intake 0.007-0.009 & 0.009-0.0011. i use 0.008 for the intake side and 0.0010 for Exhaust side. After i adjusted them,the car vibrates so i know thats the valves causing the vibration. I know its because they are tight. I adjusted them with light drags as the book mentioned but some how some of them got tight after I'm done and drive a few miles. I didn't tighten them to to specs as how the book describes. I tightened them to specs before and i have to replace one racker arm because messed up the valve lash bolt, i maybe because i was using a 1/2 Drive torque wrench. Can someone tell me whats going on on this topic?
i got myself a 3/8 torque wrench today so i can use it for those small bolts.
