Default Cleaning throttle body mistake?

Took it off and sprayed it all down with pb blaster. But...
forgot to be careful about map sensor. Didnt remove it and i realize in my enthusiasm ii even sprayed pb into the hole that goes to map sensor while it was in place!
put it back together and runs poorly and check engine light came on immediately.

How bad did i do here, is there a way back??

thank you!

Did you get a MAP code ? If so, swap out the MAP sensor for a new/known good one and move on. Next time you need to "clean" the throttle body, don't spray the MAP sensor.

Pb blaster is so volatile, do you think it might evaporate with driving?
it seems there is a lag at take off, but when going faster alls ok...maybe not map?.

First determine what code(s) you have. autozone places do it for free if you don't have a scanner..

Update: i got a replacement used MAP sensor from a do or civic at the boneyard and went to put it in. Pulled off ghe air cleaner housing and as i did i noticed that the MAP sensor plug was dangling...so i clicked it in. Pulled the 7.5 fuse for half an hour while i did some other stuff and then the car started right up, no check engine light, no weird lag in throttle. I shut it off and realized i may have guessed at it more than really looking into it. My story seemed to fit. But i hoped. Today i had to make a short highway run for an errand and the civic handled it like a champ. It felt like a new car again after limping it on a few errands with the MAP unplugged(boggy idle, sluggish on takeoff, needing to over press the gas pedal to get any response) i took it up to some high speeds 9n the hiway to help clean out any extra fuel from its inefficient operating before, or as my friend who drove ski boats used to say, to help clean out the carbon buildup from the engine as he took the boat for a scream across the lake. I think it was plugged in but not to the point of clicking so the immediate code (which probably should have been a big clue, as i imagine a clogged MAP may take a few minutes to put up a code. So...im happy. And on to the next weird noise...stay tuned!
thanks for the helpful words of wisdom. It means a lot.
thank you
