Hy, everybody,

I have a 1991 Honda Accord Lx. It has a factory cup holder that slides out. It is next to the cigarette lighter/12 Volt power Socket.

And if you want to put one can of Soda in it. That's just fine. Oh, your pasanger is also thirsty? Well OK, just pull your phone charger out of the lighter Socket as it interferes with the second cup holder and your ready to go!

Oh, the pasanger was really thirsty? And has a 44oz thirst buster! Well then they can just hold it in their lap. Becouse even if you could get it into the drink holder it blocks the radio.

So, for now I just put my drink between the parking break and the pasanger seat... That only is good with no passengers.
So have any of you found great drink holders for us Honda owners that guzzl those big guzzlers?

Post a picture if you can.

One can in the holder showing phone charger.

Another veiw with a cup between the seat and e-brake.

Showing 32oz mug blocking radio and not really fitting the drink holder.

Would something like this be strong enough for a gutbuster 44oz drink? I don't think so, but it would at least move a smaller drink out of the way

Thank you for the responce.

I have looked on eBay, Amazon, and AliExpress. I have seen the ones that go on the AC vents, and the assorted ones that attach to the door by slipping into the window slot.

In another car I had I tried the ones that go in the window slot. You make a sharp turn and you get a top heavy 44oz drink in your lap.

I think the AC vent ones would not hold, or are not deep enough for even 32oz drinks.

In my truck I have had luck with the big holders that go on the floor and hold drinks and have a storage bin.

But no room for that on my 91 Accord.

Also the ones that fill the gap between seats and such will not work, as there is not the right space in a Honda.

I'm thinking of going with a add on arm rest that would go over the top of where the hand break is. Just don't know if it will fit/work. See picture.

So, I posted this to see what other folks are doing. I can't be the only guy with a Honda that likes that bladder drink on a nice long drive.
AliExpress has lots like this one:

Just don't know if it will fit right or not. Also some of the sellers can be a pain to deal with.

Universal arm rest. With cup holder storage and USB power. Adjustable width.

I don't have a specific answer, can only share that it can be a bit of hit and miss and how much work you want to do. I had, for example, a Honda CRV and I also wanted a bigger cupholder at that time. So...playing in junkyards, I took home a series of cupholder and armrests from different Honda's in the hope something would work. In my case what worked was out of a Honda Odyssey, with almost no modifications, it just fit right in there in the armrest so I replaced mine with it and it worked.

Maybe you can do the same? Check out the bigger cars with their armrest and maybe you can modify them a bit to fix.

Or cut up your armrest and make a space for it.

Just some thoughts. I now don't drink those big drinks any longer, so I am happy with my existing holders.

The 91 Accord has no armrests. None between the front seats and none on the doors.

That is why as I posted above, I'm thinking adding a aftermarket armrest /cup holder that I would place between the front seats and over the parking brake.

If you look at the pictures in my first post, you will see no armrests.

I thank you for the thoughts.

I probably wrote it out wrong, but I agree with your idea, was only suggesting looking at other models with armrests that you perhaps could bolt in. Your universal might be the easier option. Should be able to run bolts through that one into the floor in some manner.

Show pics when done, I think we would be curious to see how it turned out.
