Hello, my sunroof is stuck open in the tilted position and no shops around me seem to do sunroofs. Using the switch to either open or close it just produces a clicking noise coming from the sunroof area. If I try to reset the moonroof control unit, as so many threads explain, then when I try to close it the motor works for a fraction of a second then reverts to its clicking. Pressing the tilt switch doesn't seem to do anything at all, although I doubt it is broken since that is what I press to reset the moonroof control unit which causes stuff to act differently. Any help would be very appreciated, thank you.
2. If that doesn't work, then unplug the gray 12P moonroof switch connector, with a small paper clip or wire, jump terminal cavity no. 2 (black wire) to terminal cavity no. 11 (yellow wire) to see if the moonroof will close. This will supply ground (-) to energize the mooroof close relay coil to close the moonroof. -- Turn the ignition switch to ON and see if the moonroof will close with the jumper wire in place at terminal no. 2 and 11. If it closes, you'll want to pull the jumper wire out shortly after that.
If it close with the jumper (while the ignition is on), it may be a faulty switch.
