P2R Power Rev Racing SCCA T4 Flat Plate Restrictors
I was unable to find any company offering off-the-shelf readily purchase-able flat plate restrictors for Hondas wishing to run in SCCA Touring class (T4) or other classes/organizations requiring restrictor plates. It looks like most other classes that require them, (Miatas, BMWs etc) usually place the restrictor between the throttle body and the intake manifold opening as an additional aluminum or steel gasket of sorts. With that in mind, I reached out to P2R Power Rev Racing (maker of throttle body thermal gaskets) to see about possibly CNCing essentially a steel or aluminum version at least 0.060" thick in accordance with the rules. They responded almost immediately, sent a CAD drawing, inquired about other possible applications, and agreed to do a run for some common Hondas/Acuras.
I realize this is somewhat niche, but if you have an 8th gen Civic Si, 9th gen Civic Si or RSX Type S that you plan to run in SCCA T4, P2R is making a batch of flat plate restrictors for these vehicles in accordance with the SCCA GCR and should have them on the website to purchase next week.
If you have an FRS/BRZ/86 that also requires a flat plate restrictor for this class, reach out to P2R. They're not going to make one for them during this run, but will do so if the need is there.
I have no affiliation/sponsorship with P2R, just letting the community know the option is out there if it's needed.
Edit: Forgot to mention, MSRP will be around $44.99
