Default D16y7 block with y8 head

So I hear it’s considered the mini swap but not the original regardless of that my issue is that I have the car running and idles fine and while it’s still cold it takes off decently but as soon and the car gets to temp and I try taking it around the block it’s bogging out and no power from the launch till 2krpm then I have some what of power and second gear if it’s not on high rpm will do the same like in the launch and when I come to a stop and try to take off again my rpm is practically to zero but the car stays on and it is bogged out to the max of this made anysense to anyone please let me know what it could be I would appreciate it to the max

That should work - are you getting any ECU codes?

the knock sensor but the y7 block apparently has the knock sensor combined with the cps but that’s what I heard not 💯 on that but can you bypass the knock sensor?

Not on an OEM ECU but if you are getting the code this "might" be the issue but can't say for sure how the ECU will react if it does not see the sensor. It may pull timing or it may just ignore the sensor altogether and only throw the code - it depends on the programming. If the block has the spot for the sensor and you can install it and get it wired correctly without having to invest too much time or money try it.

I would recommend installing a chipped VTEC ECU and getting the car tuned. Inbox if you need one.
