Airbag is always off
Hello, I have 2005 Honda Civic EX was rejected on state inspection (VA). The problem was the Airbag light always off even when the ignition is ON. When I scanned the code was 15-2 (occupant position detection system indicator light failure),
Possible failure of side airbag(occupant position detection) indicator light circuit.
I replaced the OPDS (occupant position detection system) unite but the problem is still their. I tested the instrument cluster and all lights and gages tuned on. the airbag didn't. When I check in you tube I found out with civic 2005 the airbag doesn't turn on testing the cluster. Any idea how to fix this problem.

The OPDS unit should be initialized after replacement.
Wiring and connections should to be checked. Another cause can be the OPDS sensor. The OPDS sensor is built into the seat-back cushion.
