When I was putting the transmission back in our 2004 TL, I didn't get the memo to put the torque converter on the transmission first and walked it in with bolts 1 turn at a time all the way around once everything was as close as I could get it.

Now that I've talked to my mechanic friends, they've warned me I could have damaged internal components.

I've searched heaven and earth looking for a potential replacement for a BDGA internal ATF pump but I cannot find it for the life of me.

Any advice?
