odd one but what would cause engine mount bolts to break?
So I just sold my 8th gen si that had a k24 shortblock, na bolt ons and tune to a kid and 2 weeks later he sent me a message saying the engine mount broke. when I asked for more details he said the 2 bolts on the passenger side mount which I believe would be the ones connecting the mount to the engine broke...
is this in anyway a common issue with 8th gens? i mean i drove the car 3 years without an issue, when they came to look at the car we were under the hood for a good 30 minutes with the engine running to mess with the a/c and other buyer inspecting things type stuff and there was no weird vibrations.
can this happen just from banging through the gears and dumping the clutch?
when I let them go for a test drive I Iet them beat on it pretty hard because I had no concerns about the engine health. to the point where the guy apologized for driving it so hard.

Abuse. I think there were a few cases of that steel mount on the timing cover shattering. Honda would not cover them under warranty citing abuse lead to the breakage.
he said his mechanic told him there is no way the problems hes having happened in the last 140 miles since i sold him the car.
is there any possible way i could have covered this up when they took the car and beat on it for 10 minutes, went on a seemingly normal drive to walmart for like 20 minutes, and had the hood open for 30 minutes idling while they poked around under the hood?
granted im going off him saying its the bolts themselves that failed and maybe its something else but that seems like a pretty easy fix if it was know there was an issue vs just letting them break and causing a bunch of damage...

i pretty much told him i cant help him.
you cant go over a car that closely, drive it that hard before owning it, and then expect me to help when 150 miles later there is an issue that i had no way of knowing could happen
