Dave - the torque specs are listed in the factory service manual (FSM), which was produced by a company called Helm, Inc. Some of these manuals were (illegally) digitized and there are several copies floating around on the internet, and are available for download with a little bit of google searching. You may not find a manual that is an exact match for your Civic's year / trim level, but as long as the manual is the same generation as your grandson's car (88-91, 92-95, etc.), it should be good enough to give you the torque specs you need. If you are in need of the exact manual for the car, I highly recommend purchasing a manual directly from Helm (www.helminc.com) - they are great resources, and I actually prefer having a paper copy. You aren't likely to find a direct link for download of illegally copied manuals on this forum.
