90 civic EF dx (dont think it really matters) with 200k...

Issue is I can turn the wheel and it does not turn the wheels, checked all the univeral joints, tie rods and what not. It seems the like rack has "slop" in it, is there a way to like take up that slop or is it replace rack?

 

Fix. $10 rack end bushing. It's as easy to replace as taking the whole rack out anyway.

​​​​​​Adjust the pinion spring.

Replace inner and outer tie rods.

Check steering column u joint bolts.

You can get it working 100% with tie rods and $10 rack end bushing.
