Switching to L E D lights on a 1991 Honda Accord?
Hi,
On the 1991 Accord I just got, a few of the dash lights are burnt out. So I get to pull the dash to replace them.
I figure I'll go with L E Ds and I'll never have to do it again. Plus I can go with diferant colors if I want to.
I know on some cars you can't do the swap to LEDs as they mess with the bulb out sensor.
Will this happen with the dash lights? What about the door lights and interior overhead light?
From what I can see it should be OK.
But I think if I go and swap out the turn lights, brake lights, back up lights... I think it will mess with the light out indacator on the dash???
Anyone switch all the lights except the head lights to LEDs?
Any issues with the switch over?
Any things to know about?
Thank you.

It's true, you will have to see what happens. It does pull a different voltage/amp than stock and it is possible to get an issue. Sometimes different bulbs will cause the issue. On my accord I've had no issue swapping everything over, including headlights, to LED. However, it's a 99 so slightly different from your. However, I have a 99 civic and it did not like having a mixture. I starting swapping, got weird dash behavior and a light came on, but once I switched everythig over, including dash, headlights, dome lights, all panel buttons, it was fine again.
These guys tend to make bulbs with the least amount of issues, if you want a starting point.

Look in the owners manual. Later today if I get a chance I'll post a copy from my manual.
I would also check out the link in the above answer to a seller of led bulbs. You can email them.
Hope my fast responce helps.

remember you have dash lights, but also console lights, and the transmission indicator light, roof light, etc.
