1991 Accord LX.. Tune up time! What should I change?
Hi all
Doing a tune up on the 1991 Accord LX I just bought.
I'm wounding if it should just be done according to honda's recommendation or are there any things I can change to get either more HP from the car, or just better MPG?
Right now I'm sure it's all to regular specs.
So folks any things worth doing diferantly then Honda specs?
As always think you.

You will not gain any horsepower or MPG if you go from the specs, simply lose power or MPG.
And I do love that you bought a car from the future - a 2991 Accord is probably awesome!

And boy talk about acceleration 0 to 600 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds!
You should see the look on those Tesla owners when my Honda blows their doors off.
My recommendation is to also go over the whole car and start making a list of things that you might see could use some TLC.
Suspensions often seem to be neglected, so shocks and springs for starts, but also upper/lower control arms in front and rear, bushings that seem torn, sway bar end links always seem shot to me, sway bar bushings, check the axles for leaks at the transmission, steering rack for leaks, torn cv boots. Then make a plan to replace as you can. At that age, there's some work to do, but it will be great when done.
