Default Performance mods???

I have a 2000 accord dx with non vtec engine. I have been doing searches like crazy to find mods/parts like cams and can’t find much. Plus most are related to engine number (f23a5). Does anyone know if they make a mild cam for this motor? What have others done to modify this motor (without swapping it out).

Swap or turbo are the only moderately cost effective ways to make any kind of real additional power.

OK, you have like no money and want it go , at least 13-14 second 1/4 mile, 0-60mph in like 5-6 seconds, and get 25-30 MPG?

For very cheap any 'pooty' car, a 5 speed Honda 4 cylinder, can go very fast.

Stick with cheap ebay parts.

5-600 cc injectors use with 93 octane
ebay turbo
chip kit with Crome
the ebay waste gate and BOV
ebay log manifold and downpipe to cat delete

make it simple. no intercooler. Sandwhich off the oil filter for oil source. Use1 bar spring.

$2-300 dollars. Double the power.Damn things run forever.

Bisimoto makes cams. He might be able to help start there if that is a direction you want to go.

The bisicams that leave the low vtec lobes unchanged I liked alot. Great idea.

Adding bewst is the only cheap non-swap you can really do with these engines.
If its MT you can use a lighter flywheel, and/or change out the MT for one from a Prelude for better gear ratios.
If its AT '98 Ody trans or 97-01 Lude AT, but it will scream with the Prelude AT, great acceleration though.
