Icon5 96 Fuel tank compatiblility?

I have a 96 2 Door Civic (HX) and was wondering.. are the two door fuel tanks between the 96-98 and 99-00 the same or different? I noticed that there are different part numbers between the two model years but I don't remember the 99-00 being that different in the floor pan.. Would a 99-00 fit into a 96, anyone know the differences?

for anyone looking in the future for this topic.. I did find out the differences, it has to do with emissions. The 99-00 has an extra part that deals with venting of emissions and has a separated hole for this emissions part in the tank itself. The sizing for the floor pan does look to be the same just that extra part.
