My 89 hatch that I just did the mpfi swap on cranks but it doesmt start I have spark i checked timing multiple times have tried multiple dizzy but all it does is back fore thru exhaust AMD sumtimes intake am I missing something I can't figure it out

 

what ecu are you using ?
you need a obd0 pr4

 

Any check engine lights? Did you re-wire your TPS? What distributor(s) have you tried?

 

usually, when it backfires, the camshaft timing is not correct and it is firing when a valve is open
