Product Feedback: Exhaust cutouts... What's the deal with these?
Anyone run a boost activated cutout or electric? I need advice on which one to go with, with electric it's instant but I hear the motors fail easily and with the boost activated, it works but only when you're already WOT.. I am leaning towards the electric cutout but looking for someone that's tried both. I have a daily stock itr turbo running a 2.5" dp that comes out to 3" right after the oil pan and then after the vband it is connected to my exhaust system 2.5". I was planning on putting a 3" cutout between the 3"- 2.5" transition. Thanks

I like the cutout because I can drive around and the exhaust is super quite and once I get into boost the cutout opens and really flows the exhaust! it has a real crazy sound once it opens similar to open header and it will make people deff if you open it up next to a car driving lol, my SC will give me 5 psi instantly so once I get on it I hit 5 psi and that's the psi the cutout opens so its virtually instant! Its nice cause it gives you the free flow when you need it and that's in boost and high rpm, I mostly cruise the car like today to work and I dont need a crazy loud exhaust! I think I have the perfect exhaust setup for my engine imo.
