Keyless entry harness in LX?
I have the keyless entry module from my old (wrecked) 2003 EX, and thought I was going to install it in my 2002 LX, but I can't find the connector behind the radio panel. Did they actually use different harnesses for different model civics? I assumed that for cost purposes they just used one kind of harness and left the unused connectors dangling or wrapped up or something. It also seems like there are a fair number of people on youtube who DO have the unused connector back there and just have to plug in. Can anyone confirm for me whether or not it is there? I don't want to keep looking if I'm never going to find it, but I also don't want to start splicing wires if I don't have to. Especially since I don't even have the plastic connector that would hook into the module. I only took the module since I assumed the rest would be in the new car.
Thanks.
Thanks.
EX and LX have different dash and floor harness. You can verify that by using online Honda dealer sites like Hondapartsnow, Bernardi, etc.
Also, for 01-03 Civic LX, the key-less entry was an add-on accessory; with the kit having a key-less entry sub-harness that connects into different connectors than the stock key-less entry system for an EX.
The attached instructions are for the add-on accessory, which shows a sub-harness.

Thanks, sounds like if I want to add it I need to find that harness.
Hmm, or at least the connector. Does anyone know of a part number for either?
