Accord CG8 CVT Transmission HELP
Hey everyone,
Recently I bought an Accord CG8 with a CVT transmission.
Best way I could sum up my problem is this: You know that shove forward (or jerk forward) motion you get when you're driving and you press on the accelerator before letting of the clutch and the car just shoves forward? That's what happens to my CVT when switching from 1st to 2nd, it disengages from 1st gear and is about to shift to 2nd, but there's this delay and if I don't let go of the accelerator it will jerk forward trying to rev-match. but 3rd to 4th is silky smooth as it should be.
The owner (she had this car for over 15 years) who I bought it from said she has been driving it like that for 2 years after having the tranny rebuilt (spent about 800 euros in repairs and still has receipts) and apart from that jerking she had no problems whatsoever.
Really there's nothing else wrong with it, just that shoving. I put it into Drive or Park or Reverse and it responds immediately. I have adjusted to this issue and learned to keep the jerking to a minimum.
Really any info would be helpful, and yes I know the problem is that its a CVT, but manual Accords here have all rusted to oblivion.
More info about the car:

I would think you would need a transmission expert to look at the pressure which seems to be too high controlling the 1-2 shift, or whatever regulator holds the pressure is realeasing it incorrectly.
I just hope to god I won't have to spend half as much on repairs... Aren't CVTs controlled by their own computer? Or is it all hydraulic in my case?
I think it's pressure or a friction plate in this case.

I'm no expert on these at all.
