B16 fuel pump question
My buddy has a 90 hatch that is B16 swapped. I want to help him get it back up and running pretty sure it just has a bad fuel pump so were gonna change it out, he has plans to turbo it though. So the question is can he change to a higher flow fuel pump in prep for the turbo and keep his injectors and everything the same while staying all motor ?
Yes you can use upgraded fuel pump, but only to certain point. I use 255lph pump with stock injectors and stock FPR at the moment without any problems.
But when you get big enough pump the FPR might be so restrictive that it can't keep the pressure down anymore, so the pressure might rise without control to it.
I personally don't know the limit for stock FPR.

Of the Fuel pressure regulators I've tried with a 255 pump and completely stock ecu... The B&M add-on FPR wont regulate pressure down enough, the AEM FRP will somewhat limit a 255LPH. The Holley is the only regulator that I've used that you could completely get pressure down to stock levels.
