Default Liquid/Grease on Fuel Tank Electrical Connectors

Hi All,

Been fixing up a 97 Accord that's been sitting for a few years. Found out the fuel pump was dead and have been in the process of replacing it. Prior to ordering the new one, I wanted to confirm it was the fuel pump so I dropped the fuel tank and checked for voltage on the electrical connector to the fuel pump. However, after disconnecting the electrical connectors for both the fuel pump and fuel float, I noticed that there was a liquid or grease on the wires and connector. Is this just a dielectric or silicone grease or signs of something wrong with the wiring? I've attached a few pictures of it (also uploaded to imgur)

I have also made a video of it if that helps available
.

Thanks in advanced!

Looks like dielectric grease.

Placed there just to help seal the contacts from exposure to moisture.
