2000 civic high AC pressures on both sides
I recently got this civic and it had been in a front end accident that kinked the low pressure side hose that runs underneath the radiator fan. Got it replaced and pulled a vacuum on it and it held well.
I added about 1/2 a can of refrigerant and the pressures are going whack. Low side is around 40 psi and the high side touches 400 if I just let it keep running.
AC compressor engages and seems to run indefinitely, I haven't seen it cycle off on its own. Condenser fan hasn't kicked on yet, I'm going to check grounds and see if it runs if I manually apply 12v to it.
Any ideas? It seems to me almost like there's a blockage somewhere. Drier? Condenser? TXV?

Bingo. You were right. I checked the ground and it was good, then applied 12v and ground directly to the plug and nothing happened.
Turns out the fan had become bent a little in the accident and the blades were pinned against the shroud. I adjusted the fan blade and now it's spinning freely and the AC is cold with a proper charge.
