K&N and a CBR1100...
Well, put a drop in K&N in the bike last week. Something funny has happenend. There now appears to be a serious flatspot around 6k and again at 9k. I was expecting to have to re-jet with a new pipe, but not with a filter.
I find it hard to believe that a simple drop in filter has made this much difference to the fuel tuning of the bike. In fact, I was expecting the bike to be like all Honda's and run rich. Either I am totally wrong, or I am missing something completely obvious.
Any thoughts?

Well the K&N filter has the biggest pores in it that i have ever seen in a filter. So it is possible that you have too much air coming in and not enough fuel. Have you tried tuning the carb a little? Any kind of air/fuel system change will usually require a bit of carb tuning. I dont know if you can do it yourself since its a 4-banger and they need to be synced up. Take it to a dealer and see what they say.
