Please for the love of everything I need help ....I’ve been lurking for a while here and now I’ve finally made an account because I really need help !!!!!

bought a Used 1998 Honda CR-V bad engine ....should have went with US engine but bought a JDM B20B...person that sold me the engine said I needed to do a CKF bypass trick so I did it ...had the engine installed then tranny was no good FML....ok purchased JDM TRANNY and installed it ....Car runs good for a bit then acts funny and sluggish ....what can it be ?????? I’m going to detail below how it stands and what could be the issue ????

-JDM ENGINE B20B
-original US OBD2 harness
-JDM TRANNY
-US DISTRIBUTOR

tried different ECU’s with these both of these jumper adapters

problem was when I swapped ecu with adapters car wouldn’t go out of park and would not have takeoff power ......

please someone with knowledge help me out and can point me in the right direction of what I’m doing wrong......my buddy is saying it’s the engine but I’m thinking more of a communication or timing issue please help ........I promise that who ever helps me will get compensated for your knowledge and help ....

 

Same exact issue I'm having our setup is identical twins
It bogs and has low torgue

After I get it warmed up and drive awhile it's ok but still feels sluggish


I was also thinking we might need to run a chipped ECU or something or basemap tune

 

From what I’ve read in the past it may be the teeth on the tranny or something to that effect ....the problem may lay in that the jdm tranny does not communicate well with the engine and ecu ....so my next step is getting a US TRANNY and see if that solves the issue

 

Is this a 5spd crv?

 

Engine, transmission and ECU must all match when using an automatic. You cannot mix and match and you cannot chip an automatic ecu to run an automatic trans.
